Ideal home for holidays

We were very well received by the owner of this superb country house decorated in a superb and very functional way. Magnificent landscapes are available to us. The owner makes us share his passion for the region by feasting on anecdotes and stories, he also tells us the most beautiful walks and their degree of difficulty. The sun is at the rendezvous this week, we took advantage to the maximum to discover this magnificent region with the highlight of the Martel trail in the deepest of the Verdon gorges. The welcome, the sympathy, the superb accommodation will no doubt be the source of another visit to this beautiful village of Rougon.

Excellent stay

We had a great time . The accommodation is in all respects as described on the site. The house is very well maintained and tastefully decorated. In addition it is very well located with a breathtaking view of the Verdon mountains. Very calm . Relaxing vacation.

Excellent welcome from the owners and good advice for exploring the various hikes in the region.

a little corner of paradise near great Canyon

Small corner of paradise at the foot of the castle of the charming village of Rougon, in a beautiful country house tastefully renovated. Very friendly and warm welcome from the owners who did not fail to share with us tips and anecdotes about the region. The place, near the Sublime Point and many hiking departures, is ideally placed for visiting the Grand Canyon. A very beautiful region to discover during your next vacation!

a dream nature stay

First the house with authentic charm, decor full of taste, very clean, practical and pleasant to live in, with its terrace and its climbing rosebush open on a grand nature with changing lights, birds, crickets, cuckoos ... for us seniors, it was calm, rest, contemplation, starry skies with only the Verdon in the background music! but also small nature hikes all around the village so picturesque with its crêperie with the vertiginous view and its excellent pancakes! with a simple and warm welcome ... only one downside: the absence of binoculars at the gite to admire the so graceful flight of the stars of the place: the griffon vultures that hover just above our heads! but we will gladly forgive this oversight to Nadine and Thierry, again Thank you!

Super location in a paradise region

We had a great stay in Rougon, you can be proud and proud of your bastidon, the renovation and the decor. Thank you again for your welcome and your kindness, we recommend your carefree rental. The tranquility, nature and the beauty of the landscape await you. The return to reality was a bit hard but all good things come to an end !!!!!

How far from the house are the lakes? +

SAINTE-CROIX lake is about 20 kms away, it is the largest in the region and it is possible to practice all water activities. CASTILLON lake is located after Castellane (25 km), it is smaller but more accessible because less frequented. It is also possible to swim in the Verdon 10 minutes by car from the house.
Can we go hiking from home? +

Many hikes can be done from house: it is possible to descend to the end of the Samson corridor and undertake the mythical "MARTEL trail" which will take you 14 km further to LA MALINE, through the bottom of the gorges. It is also possible to climb on the SUECH plateau above the village to enjoy a splendid view of the village and the gorges; you can also observe the vultures and their reintroduction cage at the exit of the village.
