Imbut trail is the most beautiful hike in the bottom of the Verdon gorges.
It offers visitors unique sensations: hearing by the crash of the waters rushing down the Verdon bed,
visual by the a-peaks overhanging the path, but also rich in emotions because some ways like the small narrow ledge overhanging the void are a little perilous, although very practicable for experienced walkers. You can leave from chalet de la Maline, go down to the bottom of the gorges, take Estellié footbridge and turn left towards Imbut. The ascent will be in opposite direction. You can also leave from the riders restaurant on the left bank, descend Estellié footbridge and without taking it turn left toward Imbut. The ascent will be by the Vidal trail but beware, it is very difficult to access,to climb in places and you should not be dizzy! In any case, go well dressed, with 4 liters of water per person, a first aid kit, headgear, and know that there is no telephone network at the bottom of gorges, not even the emergencies..
